Marcus D. Moore is a Chicago-based actor and teaching artist from the South Suburbs with a love for creating stories that spark conversation and give voice to stories that help widen the perspectives of others. Since he was a little kid, entertaining was always something that came easy to Marcus. Whether it be dancing at family gatherings, singing solos in his elementary school's music class, that one year learning to play the baritone in my school's band or using his Dad's video camera to create short films about adventures that included slaying dragons, saving the princess and running from dinosaurs, Marcus always knew that art and story telling would be endeavors that he'd later pursue as a career. But, his love for story telling through acting grew from the various plays his grandmother took him to see as a child and the many Fridays he spent with his mom and siblings renting movies or going to the movie theater.
Marcus' acting career began after college with taking acting courses at The Second City in Chicago, IL which ultimately led to him working alongside some of the most talented and hard working artists, on some of the biggest stages and production sets. His TV credits include co-starring roles on NBC's CHICAGO FIRE, Warner Bros.' EMPEROR OF OCEAN PARK and FOX Networks' APB. He has also worked at many theatres around Chicago, which include Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf, Drury Lane, 16th Street Theatre, Raven Theatre, and many more
Dreams never work unless you do, so always remember to never waste your wait. Believe in yourself, your abilities and trust that the only things standing between you and your dreams are hard work, opportunity and inevitability.
